Clearblue Easy Fertility Monitor Test Sticks are used in conjunction with the actual Clearblue Fertility Monitor (sold separately). No other test sticks brand is compatible. The package of 30 test sticks gives you 3 cycles of use before they need to be replaced. For most women, only 10 Clearblue Easy Fertility Monitor Test Sticks are needed per cycle, however those with longer or slightly irregular cycles may require up to 20 test sticks.
How to use them
1. The Clearblue Easy Fertility Monitor will request that you perform a test on a particular day. Remove one of the Clearblue Easy Fertility Monitor Test Sticks from its protective wrapper and hold it under your urine for approximately 3-4 seconds. Urine samples can also be collected in a container or cup, however you will have to dip and hold the Clearblue Easy Fertility Monitor Test Sticks in the urine for approximately 15 seconds. It is recommended to test your urine first thing in the morning as it contains the highest hormone concentration.
2. Next you must remove the cap off the handle and place it over the wet end of the test stick. On the monitor, a red flashing light will indicate if it is ready to receive one of the Clearblue Easy Fertility Monitor Test Sticks. When the light stops flashing, insert the cut corner of the test stick into the slot on the monitor. You should feel the stick click into the monitor if you place it in correctly.
3. When one of the Clearblue Easy Fertility Monitor Test Sticks is inserted properly, the monitor will take approximately 5 minutes to read the information from your sample. During this time, you should see a test stick symbol flashing. After the analysis is complete, your fertility status will be indicated as either ‘peak’, ‘high’ or ‘low’. If you are at ‘peak’, then having sex during the next 2 days will greatly increase your chance of getting pregnant.
